Stephen w. Gresham
Hello, my name is Steve. I graduated from Wood Memorial High School in 2005. While at Wood, I played baseball and was also the editor of the school newspaper. From there, I went to the University of Southern Indiana to begin working on a degree in English education. During my first semester, I met my future wife. I went to school for two years before joining the United States Marine Corps in the summer of 2007. I enlisted in the reserves as a military policeman out of Lexington, KY.
After boot camp and other training schools, I went back to college for two more years. During this time, I worked as a tutor in the Writers' Room at USI. In October of 2009, I served in a humanitarian effort in Uganda. This was my first time leaving the country and serving overseas.
In 2010, my wife and I were married the day before I left to begin training for a deployment to Afghanistan. I returned home in 2011 and spent a few months relaxing before doing my student teaching at F.J. Reitz High School in the spring of 2012. In April, I received my B.S. in English education. In August of 2012, I was fortunate enough to be employed at the same school I student taught at.
In addition to teaching, I also coach baseball. I also serve as an assistant athletic director. I love our school and am proud to be part of the Reitz community and PANTHER NATION!
